Google’s 4th update was completed in around 12 days (11 days, 21 hours). Google officially announced on Twitter that the Core Update rollout has been completed.
The Google MayCore Update started on May 21, 2026, and Google confirmed that it was fully completed on June 2, 2026.
Earlier in 2026, Google had already released three updates, including the March 2026 Core Update, which was completed in 19 hours and 30 minutes.
Although Google has announced that the rollout is complete, ranking fluctuations are still being observed. Hopefully, rankings will become more stable over the next few hours or days.
This update is not an ordinary update; it is a regular type of update. This core update targets all types of content, all countries, and all languages.
Rather than penalizing websites, this update is designed to reward well-written websites with strong backlink profiles that follow Google’s policies and optimize their sites properly by ranking them higher.

This update shows that Google’s objective is to provide users coming from Google Search with relevant, fresh, and satisfying content, as stated in Google’s official statement.
‘This is a regular update designed to better surface relevant, satisfying content for searchers from all types of sites.’
What do we care about in this update?
If your website violates Webmaster Policies, such as rules related to links or content, then this core update has definitely affected that kind of site. Now, let’s learn how to recover a site that was hit by this update. Wait until the rollout is fully complete.
After the rollout is complete, everything will return to the normal phase, and you should find out why your site was hit. Check your backlink profile, AI-written content, plagiarism, and everything else. You can change your website as per different policies and follow the rules, then update the sites.
